Cardinal Inaccesible somete la letra del himno nacional mexicano al reconocimiento por voz de los algoritmos de Google Voice Search. Actualizándose en tiempo real, Cardinal Inaccesible despliega las sugerencias de búsqueda a la vez que provee el resultado fonético más certero. De esta manera, la pieza se desarrolla en segmentos de un segundo más de duración, por cada una de sus iteraciones.

A lo largo de este proceso, las múltiples interpretaciones fonético/rítmicas de los primer cuatro versos componen un multiverso de significado en constante expansión.

Ante el cerebro de una red mega-computante, décadas de aliteración patriótica se ven cernidas con una nueva luz: la de la rizomática absurdista. La del verdadero significado de una nación.

Cardinal Inaccessible feeds the lyrics of the Mexican national anthem into Google Search´s voice recognition algorithms. Updating in real-time, Cardinal Inaccessible displays both search suggestions and the final most phonetically accurate result. Feeding the algorithm increasingly large and complex bits of the anthem’s lyrics, this video work envelops the viewer in the iterative aggregate of the phonetic/rhythmic interpretations of both México’s culture and national its psycho-semantics.

In an absurdist, yet technically methodical essay, Cardinal Inaccesible shrinks what centuries of Mexican idiosyncrasy patriotic alliteration, processed by the artificial intelligence of a computational mega-network, are bathed in a new, brilliant and at times, absurdist light.

How many times can a single organism repeat the same concept -phrases, ideas- before it spins out of control? What becomes of a country’s national identity, when methodical alliteration warps it out of its original meaning, sense, and form?
